Das Training ist für Musiker*innen und Musikpädagogen*innen entwickelt worden, die ihre Fähigkeiten entwickeln möchten, zur sozialen Integration von Menschen mit Fluchterfahrungen und Migrant*innen in Deutschland beizutragen. Die Inhalte sind von Expert*innen der Organisation Musicians Without Borders (MWB) mit langjähriger Erfahrung in aktuellen und Post-Konflikt-Regionen entwickelt worden. Diese Trainingswoche wird gemeinsam von den MWB mit dem Projekt IN.DI.E Musik der Landesmusikakademie NRW ausgerichtet.
Folgende Fähigkeiten und Themen werden im Training behandelt:
- Community Music basierte Herangehensweisen im Bereich Singen, (Body)Percussion, Bewegung, Songwriting
- Die fünf Arbeitsprinzipien von MWB – Sicherheit, Inklusion, Gleichberechtigung, Kreativität, Qualität – und wie Sie diese auf Ihre musikalische Praxis anwenden können
- Einblick die biologischen, sozialen und psychologischen Auswirkungen von Musik auf unser Nervensystem
- Feedback, Bewertung und Selbstreflexion
- Techniken des Musizierens in Gruppen ohne den Einsatz von Sprache
- Kreativität und Improvisation
Es wird erwartet, dass die Teilnehmenden nach dem Training die gelernten Methoden in der Praxis (z.B in sozialinklusiven Musikprojekten) anwenden. Das Training findet auf Deutsch und Englisch statt. Aufgrund der Förderung durch das Ministerium für Kultur und Wissenschaft des Landes NRW wird das Lehrentgelt erlassen, die Teilnahme ist gegen Übernahme der Kosten für Unterkunft/Verpflegung möglich.
Das Projekt IN.DI.E Musik steht für Interkultur, Diversität und Empowerment. Angeboten werden musikpädagogische Multipilkatorenschulungen sowie Beratungen und Netzwerkarbeit für Musiker*innen mit diversen Hintergründen sowie Menschen aus diesem Arbeitsumfeld. Gefördert durch das Ministerium für Kultur und Wissenschaft NRW, getragen durch die Landesmusikakademie NRW.

Community Music Training

The training has been developed for musicians and music teachers who want to develop their skills to contribute to the social integration of people into the society, esp. people with refugee experiences and migrants in Germany. The content of the training has been developed by experts from the organization Musicians Without Borders (MWB) with many years of experience in current and post-conflict regions. This training week is organized jointly by MWB and the IN.DI.E Music project of the Landesmusikakademie NRW.
The following skills and topics are covered in the training:
• Community music based approaches in the field of singing, (body) percussion, movement, songwriting
• The five working principles of MWB - safety, inclusion, equality, creativity, quality - and how you can apply them to your musical practice
• Insight into the biological, social and psychological effects of music on our nervous system
• Feedback, assessment and self-reflection
• Techniques of making music in groups without the use of language
• Creativity and improvisation
It is expected that after the training the participants apply the learned methods in practice (e.g. in socially inclusive music projects). The training takes place in German and English. Due to the funding from the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, the teaching fee is waived, participation is possible against assumption of the costs for accommodation / meals.
The IN.DI.E music project stands for interculture, diversity and empowerment. We offer music pedagogical multipliers training as well as advice and networking for musicians with diverse backgrounds as well as people from this working environment. Funded by the Ministry of Culture and Science NRW, supported by the Landesmusikakademie NRW.
